24 Bit Deposit publishes sponsored articles and partner content as part of how this site sustains itself. Transparency matters to us — so this page explains exactly what sponsored content is, how we handle it, what standards every piece must meet, and how we keep it clearly separated from our independent editorial work.

What Is Sponsored Content?
Sponsored content is any article, link, or placement published as part of a commercial agreement between 24 Bit Deposit and a paying partner. This includes sponsored posts, link insertions, product reviews where the subject was provided or paid for, brand collaborations, and sitewide placements such as banner ads or newsletter spots.
The key thing that makes something “sponsored” is simple: money or another form of compensation changes hands in exchange for publication. If a partner pays us — in cash, products, services, or any other benefit — to publish or feature something, that is sponsored content, and we label it accordingly.
This is different from content we produce entirely on our own initiative, which is covered by our Editorial Policy.
Types of Sponsored Content We Accept
Not all sponsored content looks the same. Here are the formats we currently offer:
Sponsored Articles
These are full articles — typically 500 to 2,000 words — written either by the partner or by our team on behalf of the partner. They cover a topic relevant to our audience and must comply with our quality and accuracy standards before publication. Sponsored articles are clearly labelled at the top of the page.
Link Insertions
A link insertion is when a partner pays to have a link to their site placed within an existing article on 24 Bit Deposit. The surrounding content must still be accurate and useful to readers. We only insert links where they fit naturally — we do not drop links into sentences where they feel out of place or add no value for the reader.
Product and Service Features
Sometimes a partner pays to have their product or service discussed or reviewed within a piece of content. These features must be honest — we do not write glowing reviews of products we cannot stand behind. If a product has genuine weaknesses relevant to our readers, those are noted.
Native Advertising
Native advertising is content designed to look and feel like editorial content, but it is paid for by a brand. On 24 Bit Deposit, all native advertising is labelled clearly so readers know what they are reading before they read it. We do not publish native advertising that disguises itself as organic editorial content.
Newsletter Sponsorships and Banner Placements
Partners may also sponsor sections of our newsletter or purchase display banner placements. These are advertising, and they are treated as such — they do not influence what our writers say in editorial articles.
Our Quality Standards
Sponsored content must meet the same quality bar as our editorial work. That is not a marketing line — it is a requirement we enforce before anything goes live.
Specifically, every piece of sponsored content we publish must:
- Be relevant to our audience — our readers are interested in finance, investment, business, and related topics. Sponsored content that is completely off-topic for our readership will be declined.
- Be factually accurate — claims of fact must be verifiable. If a sponsored article makes a statistical claim, that claim needs a credible source. We check this before publication.
- Be free of misleading statements — we do not publish content designed to deceive readers, exaggerate results, or make promises that cannot be substantiated.
- Meet our basic writing standards — content must be readable, well-structured, and genuinely useful. We edit sponsored content for grammar, clarity, and formatting before it goes live.
- Include appropriate risk disclosures where relevant — for example, any content touching on financial products, investments, or trading must include appropriate risk warnings.
If a submitted piece does not meet these standards, we will ask the partner to revise it or we will rewrite the relevant sections. If a piece cannot be brought up to standard, we decline it. You can read more about how we apply accuracy standards across the site in our Fact-Checking and Corrections Policy.
Disclosure and Labelling
Every piece of sponsored content on 24 Bit Deposit is clearly labelled. We do this because readers have a right to know when content has been paid for. This is not just good practice — in many jurisdictions, it is a legal requirement.
Here is how we handle disclosure:
- Sponsored articles carry a “Sponsored” or “Partner Content” label at the top of the page, before the reader reaches the article body.
- Link insertions that are part of a paid arrangement use the
rel="sponsored"attribute on the link, in line with Google’s link scheme guidelines, so search engines also understand the nature of the link. - Native advertising is clearly marked so that readers cannot confuse it with organic editorial content — even if the format and style are similar.
- Newsletter sponsorships are introduced with a clear “sponsored by” line before the sponsored section begins.
We do not use ambiguous language like “in partnership with” or “brought to you by” without also making clear that financial compensation was involved. The goal is that any reader — even one who reads quickly — can tell they are looking at paid content.
FTC and Legal Compliance
In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that any material connection between an endorser and a brand must be clearly disclosed. A “material connection” includes payment, free products, a business relationship, or any other arrangement that could influence what is written.
24 Bit Deposit publishes sponsored content in compliance with:
- The FTC’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections
- The ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) guidelines for UK-based advertising
- Google’s Webmaster Guidelines on paid links and native advertising
- Any other applicable advertising regulations in the jurisdictions where our content is read
If you believe we have published sponsored content without adequate disclosure, please contact us immediately using the details at the bottom of this page. We take compliance seriously and will review any reported concern promptly.
Editorial Separation
Sponsorship never buys influence over our independent editorial articles. Our opinions remain our own.
This is the most important thing to understand about how 24 Bit Deposit operates. Our editorial team and our commercial team are separate. A brand can pay to have a sponsored article published — but they cannot pay to change what our editorial writers say about them or about their competitors in our independently produced content.
Here is what this looks like in practice:
- A partner who sponsors a post cannot ask us to change, remove, or soften an independently written editorial article about their industry.
- Partners do not see or approve editorial content before it is published.
- Advertisers who spend heavily with us receive no preferential treatment in editorial coverage.
- We do not accept payment to remove negative coverage from editorial articles.
The boundary between paid and editorial is strict. If that ever changes, we will update this policy to say so — but that is not something we intend to allow. Read more about how our editorial team works in our Editorial Policy.
What We Decline
We review every sponsorship request individually. We decline requests that involve:
- Illegal products or services — anything that is unlawful to advertise in our operating jurisdictions
- Deceptive or misleading claims — content designed to mislead readers about a product, service, or outcome
- Unsubstantiated health or financial claims — promises of results that cannot be backed by credible evidence
- Adult content where it conflicts with our site’s audience and editorial standards
- Harmful content — anything that could cause harm to readers, third parties, or the public interest
- Content that conflicts with our existing editorial positions in ways that would mislead readers about what we stand for
- Competitors paying to remove or suppress editorial coverage of themselves or others
We also reserve the right to decline any request that does not fit our audience or that we believe would damage the trust our readers place in us — even if the content does not fall into any of the categories above.
Reader Protections
Our readers come to 24 Bit Deposit for useful, trustworthy information. Everything in this policy is designed to protect that relationship. Specifically:
- You will always be able to tell when content is paid for, before you read it.
- Sponsored content will never make false or exaggerated claims.
- Your experience of our editorial content will not be influenced by who is advertising with us.
- If we make a mistake — whether in editorial or sponsored content — we correct it. See our Fact-Checking and Corrections Policy for how that process works.
If you ever feel that a piece of content on this site has misled you, or that a disclosure has been omitted, we want to know. Readers reporting compliance concerns genuinely help us maintain our standards.
Sponsor Responsibilities
Partners who work with 24 Bit Deposit agree to the following when they commission sponsored content:
- Accuracy of submitted content — partners are responsible for ensuring that any information they provide to us is accurate and not misleading. If inaccurate information is submitted and published, we will correct it once discovered, and the responsibility lies with the partner.
- No attempts to bypass editorial standards — partners may not request that we weaken, remove, or modify disclosures, or that we publish content that violates this policy.
- Compliance with applicable law — partners are responsible for ensuring that the content they commission complies with laws and regulations in the jurisdictions relevant to their business and audience.
- Notification of material changes — if a product or service described in a published sponsored article changes significantly after publication, partners should notify us so we can update or remove the content as appropriate.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time as our sponsored content practices evolve, or as regulations change. When we make a significant change, we will update the modification date on this page. We encourage readers and partners to review this page periodically.
This policy does not override any separate written agreements made between 24 Bit Deposit and individual sponsors — in the event of a conflict, the terms of the written agreement apply. However, our commitment to reader disclosure and editorial independence applies in all cases, regardless of any commercial agreement.
